Hello everyone.
I provide the necessary information for my team:
3E9K6UP#ABA
HP EliteBook 840 G8 Notebook PC
I have had a somewhat complex problem with a Kali linux 2024.2 (rolling) virtual machine on vmware workstation 17 pro version 17.5.1 build-23298084.
When installing the necessary and appropriate drivers for my Alfa AWUS036AC and TP LINK Archer T2U Plus (AC600) antennas using the packages from the link below:
https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au
I do not get monitor mode when using the WEF or Aircrack tool in monitor mode, as it does not detect any network in the scan.
My adapter I connect it this way either the alpha or the tp link.
I place the following commands to verify that the wifi adapter is installed or detected:
Now I do the following to enable monitor mode on my wireless interface, and then I start the aircrack tool to view wifi network information and pmm it is a failure:
After that it does not even detect wifi networks.
the adapters I use have the chipsets:
Alfa network AWUS036AC = Realtek RTL8812AU
Archer T2U Plus (AC600 ) = Realtek RTL8811AU
What do I have to do to solve the problem?
Will I have to modify something in the Kali Tweaks section?
Is there anything I need to do in the bios or in vmware?
@IT_WinSec do you know what could be happening?
my virtual machine is not damaged or anything like that, in fact I keep it constantly updated.
