I have an HP 240 mouse connected to the HP Spectre x360 bluetooth. It works fine when the computer is plugged in. But when the laptop is on battery, the mouse will be frozen for a second when you go to use it. It will work okay as long as its being moved around. But as soon as it's idle for about three seconds and you go to move it again, you get the one second lag before it will move again.
I've done a clean reinstall of Windows with a thumb drive HP sent. I've updated the BIOS. I've installed every drive update. I've uninstalled the bluetooth and reinstalled it. Yet I'm still getting this issue.
Any advice?

Hi@POTA1968,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing issues with the HP 240 Mouse freezes when charger is unplugged on the laptop.
I have a few recommendations
- Go to System and Security and then click on Power Options. In the left pane, click on Choose what the power buttons do. Next, click the Change settings that are currently unavailable link. Under the Shutdown settings section, uncheck the Turn on fast startup (recommended) option to turn on the feature.
- Try replacing the AA battery on the HP Mouse.
- Check with any alternate laptop if it works fine.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
