So I have my brand new, nifty-difty HP laptop up and running. my 6 year old dell is sitting next to it....one foot in the grave...the other still on my desk. Both are connected to the same wireless router, same internet...same everything other than my super duper new fast HP runs a speed test at speedtest.net, it shows a download MBPS of 1.6. My old dell clocks in at 66 MBPS. My son's hardwired gaming PC clocks in at 252 MBPS. Why is my brand new HP bringing up the rear? I get that I won't match a hardwired gaming PC...but when the Dell sitting next to it is clocking 66 over wifi...and my new HP is 1.6. I am bummed.
