Hi @rjgdetroit,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your Bluetooth mouse has stopped working and you need to activate your touchpad, you can do so through keyboard shortcuts and using the Windows settings without the need for a mouse. Here's how you can turn on the touchpad:

Open Windows Settings:

  • Press the Windows key on your keyboard to open the Start menu.
  • Type settings and press Enter.

Navigate to the Touchpad Settings:

  • Once the Settings window is open, press the Tab key repeatedly to cycle through items until you highlight "Devices" or use the arrow keys to navigate and then press Enter.
  • Again, use the Tab key to move focus to the navigation pane and select "Touchpad" under "Bluetooth & devices".

Enabling the Touchpad:

  • Press the Spacebar or Enter key to toggle or access settings.
  • If the touchpad is off, pressing the Spacebar will enable it.

Alternative Key Shortcuts:

  • Tab Key: Use this key to navigate through controls in a window.
  • Arrow Keys: Use these keys to move between tabs and settings.
  • Enter/Spacebar: Use either key to select or toggle options.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
