so let me get this straight. you have uninstalled the driver and attempted a reinstall
sorry if this sounds stupid but before you did that you did check to see if the wifi was off? or if there was a digital switch (fn button combination) or physical switch which stopped power to the wifi antenna?
if the switch is off the drivers will not install because there is no power to the chip
i suggest looking up fn button combinations with your specific computer
if that doesn't work you may need a new wifi antenna
when purchasing wifi antennas make sure you get one for a mobile computer. there are different types of pci-e depending if you are mobile or desktop
