My computer did the automatic update, after the reboot my WiFi options had disappeared. So now I can't find my WiFi connections.

Hi @MrsMarzek

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

To help resolve your issue with the Wi-Fi options disappearing after an update, I need a few details.

  • Are you using Windows, macOS, or a Linux-based operating system? If it's Windows, is it Windows 10 or 11?
  • Do you know which update was installed? (e.g., a feature update, security update, or driver update).
  • Did the update complete successfully, or did you notice any errors during the process?
  • Does the Wi-Fi adapter appear in the Device Manager or equivalent system utility? (For Windows: Open Device Manager > Network Adapters).
  • Is the adapter listed, or is there a warning icon (e.g., yellow triangle)?
  • Have you tried restarting the computer after the update to see if the Wi-Fi reappears?
  • Have you recently installed or uninstalled any software or drivers that might conflict with the Wi-Fi functionality?
  • Have you experienced similar Wi-Fi issues before?

May I have the exact name and product number of the unit? Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
