HP Laptop14-ck0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everbody.

My problem began one month ago when i turn on my laptop to do my things, i was trying to search information for a homework of the university, but the browser didn´t have conection to the internet, so i check the avaible networks and found that there was nothing available. After that I looked in the internet options panel, and I was surprised that the wifi option did not even appear.

I only had the computer for six months, is almost new and, is very rare that the wifi does not work, if somebody know how to solve my problem, i´ll be very greatful.

@JMachado, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If the device is no longer being detected, we may need to identify the reason, and here's what I would do:

Run a wireless card test on your computer using the below steps:

  • Download and install the HP Hardware diagnostics tool from this link
  • Once installed, shut down your computer.
  • Wait for a minute.
  • Turn the computer On and keep tapping F2 repeatedly on startup to enter system diagnostics.
  • Select the component test and run a wireless test on your computer.
    • Refer to this HP Article for assistance.

If the test fails or does not detect the wireless card, it could be faulty.

If it passes the tests, install all available windows and HP updates using a wired network to resolve the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
