I know this is probably completely stupid but I want to make sure to not do things wrong. I've gotten a new laptop with only freeDOS on it and want to install Windows 11. I'm installing it with a USB-Stick and it asks me where to install windows. I've read that here I should delete all partitions and install it on unallocated space.

On a new computer can I just delete all the partitions or do I need to make backups of the files on it? There is HP_TOOL on one of the partitions for example. Can I just delete that? Or is this necessary to keep if something is wrong with the PC and I want to return it? Also do I still have the HP BIOS if I delete all the partitions?
