I have software that only runs on vista. My old HP Pavilion DV6500 is dying. I bought a used DV6500 on ebay and an official windows vista home premium install disk with product key. Vista installed on the new machine but did not install network drivers.
Where can I get network drivers for Vista 32 on HP DV6500?
Thanks

You're very welcome.
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with a Broadcom Wi-Fi card.
You need this Vista driver for that model Wi-Fi card.
Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows Vista

You need to install the nVidia nForce chipset driver to install the ethernet adapter:

It turns out I only have partial internet access. Firefox is able to access internet but Windows cannot connect to Microsoft. When it tries to do a windows update it gets error code 80072EFE.
Also, Internet Explorer is acting strange. It will do a search but when I try to connect to a web page in the results it says internet not connected.
Any ideas?
Thanks

There's a couple of major changes the Microsoft implemented in the last couple of years.
1. Internet Explorer has been retired and is no longer supported.
2. Microsoft disabled the Windows Update feature in XP and Vista, which is why you can no longer connect to Windows Update.
You can still manually download the individual available updates from the Microsoft Catalog website.
I would certainly recommend installing the Vista SP1 & SP2 updates if the version of Windows Vista you installed was the original one.
