i wanted to ask that which network adapter should i buy for my laptop as the previous one is dead , i cannot send my laptop to hp as its very expensive, the previous network adapter was rt3290, i want to know which other network adapter can my pc support

Hi:

 

Your notebook may only have one wifi antenna cable connected to the card in there now, so you would have to confirm that your notebook has two wifi antenna cables in order to upgrade to a dual band wifi card with Bluetooth.

 

if it has two antenna cables connected to the Ralink, then you can upgrade to this model wifi card with bluetooth...

 

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0     HP Part # 710661-001

 

If your notebook only has one antenna cable connected to the Ralink wifi card, you could still upgrade to the above card, but the Bluetooth won't work due to the lack of antenna reception.

 

If you must have bluetooth, and your notebook only has one antenna cable replace the Ralink wifi card with this single band wifi card with bluetooth...

 

Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter    HP part # 753077-001

 

You should be able to find either of these wifi cards on eBay or Ali Express.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure...

Thank You Paul for replying me and giving me the answer to my question ,

my laptop has only one antenna connection so im opting for this, but my previous card had two slots for antenna connection and only one wire why is that so.

Since I don't work for or represent HP, unfortunately I don't know why they went to a one antenna configuration--especially when they install wifi cards that have two terminals and work best with two antenna wires connected to them.

 

The Realtek card part number I posted only has one antenna terminal and was designed for the wifi and Bluetooth to work with only one antenna cable.
