I am having problems with my wireless network. On a fresh start up all I see is a Globe in the place where the wireless icon is. I have to go to Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi 2. Then restart. Then and only then will it connect to my network. Pictures will tell allScreenshot (1).pngScreenshot (3).pngScreenshot (4).pngScreenshot (6).pngScreenshot (7).pngScreenshot (8).pngScreenshot (9).pngScreenshot (10).png

So far I have done a windows reinstall, Updated windows and HP updates. I still have the problem.

I watched a youtube video and followed directions and went the Device Manager and Power then unchecked the box that allows windows to shut down Wi-Fi.

I am getting closer to having it run right again but there must still be something I am missing. I still get the Globe on first start up.

Thank you for any help you are able to provide

OK, Now I need an answer to how to make the Wi-Fi stay on.  When you shut the computer down it shuts down and when you start the computer you have to turn it back on and restart to be able to go online. Do you know which keys to use or what to do?Screenshot (6).png

Hello Costantia

It might help to take a screen shot and show it here.

To take a screen shot press the Windows key and the prt sc key , The screen will dim for a second or two and you will have it

As for my problem, I did everything I could then took it to the Geek Squad  and had them take a look. It turns out it is  a hardware problem. So I am sending it in to HP.
