My laptop entirely lost its Wifi adapter. With no warning, while it was on, it lost wifi. Then when tapping on networks, it was clear that there was no trace at all of wifi. Put wifi into search and nothing comes up. It is as if the Wifi adapter never existed. The only way of connecting to the Internet is to use an Ethernet cable. That is not a sustainable solution. But the HP troubleshooters insist that it has detected Windows 10 when in fact I have Windows 11. Therefore, it cannot show me / give me the right next steps. I see this is a common fault. HP need to address this, but as usual, you can't speak to a human and the online troubleshooting guides are written by geeks for geeks and are pretty useless. Can someone help?

Hi:
According to the product specs your notebook comes with a Realtek RTL8821CE wifi adapter.
The only suggestion I can offer, would be to update the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version.
Wi-Fi:
2024.10.228.1 01/31/2023
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp144501-145000/sp144871.exe
The driver is good for both W10 & W11.
Restart the PC after installing the driver.
