Hi @Aubrey94,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're facing a frustrating issue with your HP Laptop 15-dw3003ni (34B12EA) and its network connectivity, especially with the Wi-Fi function missing. Since the issue persists after reinstalling Windows 10 and updating drivers, here are several steps you can try to resolve it:
1. Reinstall the Network Adapter Driver
- Go to Device Manager (Right-click on the Start button > Device Manager).
- Look for Network Adapters and expand the section.
- Find your Wi-Fi adapter (something like Realtek, Intel, Broadcom), right-click on it, and choose Uninstall device. If asked to delete the driver software, check the box and proceed.
- After uninstalling, reboot your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the correct driver upon reboot. If not, you can try to manually install the driver from HP's website using Ethernet or another computer to download.
2. Use HP Support Assistant for Drivers
- HP Support Assistant can help download the appropriate drivers automatically. If it's not installed, you can download it from HP's website using another device and transfer it to your laptop via USB.
- Once installed, open HP Support Assistant, go to Updates, and let it scan for the latest drivers, including for network adapters.
3. Manually Install Drivers
- Since you're unable to find drivers for Windows 10 Version 21H2, you can try using drivers for Version 20H2. Usually, drivers for similar Windows versions are compatible.
- Go to HP's official support page and search for your model HP Laptop 15-dw3003ni (34B12EA). Download the latest Wi-Fi or Network drivers for Version 20H2, and install them manually.
4. Run Windows Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Internet Connections and run the troubleshooter.
- Also, run Network Adapter troubleshooter from the same section.
5. Reset Network Settings
- Open Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Scroll down and select Network reset. This will remove and reinstall all your network adapters and reset your network settings to default.
- After resetting, reboot your laptop.
6. BIOS Reset
Sometimes network issues can be resolved by resetting the BIOS to its default settings:
- Reboot the laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
- In the BIOS menu, look for an option to Reset BIOS to Default or Load Default Settings (the exact wording varies by BIOS).
- Save changes and reboot.
7. Check for Windows Updates
- Ensure that your Windows 10 is up-to-date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any pending updates.
- Sometimes Windows Update installs critical drivers for network adapters.
8. Check Physical Wi-Fi Switch
Some HP laptops have a physical switch to enable or disable Wi-Fi. Look for a Wi-Fi button or switch on the keyboard (often F12) or on the sides of the laptop. Ensure it's turned on.
9. Try Using a USB Wi-Fi Adapter
If all else fails, you can temporarily use a USB Wi-Fi adapter to connect to the internet and continue working until the internal Wi-Fi issue is resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
