HP ProBook 450 G8 Notebook PC (464P0AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a ProBook 450 G8 (p/n 5U1K9UT) using both onboard wifi and ethernet. While using two different generic USB-C docks (to add two monitors), the network will drop out for 10 to 15 seconds, consistently. Remove the USB-C dock, and both onboard wifi and ethernet work fine. How do I fix this?

BIOS is at T88 Ver. 01.09.10 - 05/19/2022.

Ethernet is I219-V driver Intel ver 12.19.1.37  6/22/2021

Wifi is wireless-AC 9560 Intel ver 22.120.0.3 1/31/2022

OS Windows 10 ver 21H2 build 19044.1826

Are they from HP ?  Compatible issue. Please select a compatible dock on the following document

We would have gotten official HP docks if they hadn't been on backorder for almost a year now. Our laptops needed to be replaced and the new laptops do not have the same dock port connector used with the old HP docks. Needing to do something so our users could have multiple monitors, we were forced to go to generic USB-C docks. I was hoping there would be a driver for the USB-C port that would help the network drop issue, since removing the dock and everything works fine again.

We are also experiencing this issue, mainly 450 G7 and 450 g8, we use several different docking solutions all with the same effects

HP Dock usb-g5, HP Dock usb-c g2 and also the iiyama xub2492hsn  dockable monitor, these all give the same result of periodic drop outs of the network adapter.

This is mostly noticeable due to the laptops being using with a Soft Phone/Call centre piece of software.

Problem goes away if wifi or nic port is used

We are still troubleshooting

have you tried a usb network adapter to see if its the Realtek USB software driver giving same results?
