Hi, Vlad:

You need these drivers...

PCI simple Comm Contoller:

This package provides the Intel Management Engine Components Driver and Interface.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59501-60000/sp59684.exe

Network Controller:

This package contains drivers required to enable functionality of the Intel Wireless LAN adapter on supported notebooks with supported operating systems.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58782.exe

Ethernet Controller:

This package contains the driver installation package for the Intel 82577LM or 82577LC Gigabit Ethernet Controller in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53501-54000/sp53806.exe

Base System Device (1) & (2)

This package contains the Ricoh Media Card Reader Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The Ricoh Media Card Reader driver enables the integrated media card slot.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46501-47000/sp46999.exe

HPQ0004:

This package provides HP 3D DriveGuard for the supported notebook models and operating systems. HP 3D DriveGuard receives notifications from the integrated accelerometer and protects the hard drive (HDD) by automatically "parking the heads" to reduce the risk of damage if the notebook is accidentally bumped or dropped.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53501-54000/sp53795.exe

USB\VID_138A:

This package contains the driver that enables the Validity Fingerprint Sensor in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The fingerprint sensor scans fingerprints for use with biometric security applications.

so far... 4817 spat the dummy for a moment ... I  heard a 'static click'
on restart I lost the speakers

HP Recommended

well... got the mouse .. and the mike ... just no sound since the IDT ... sp48147
can I uninstall it? to get my speakers back?
it seems to have taken the place of one of the High Defintion Audio Devices in Device Manager

to think... this is why I 'reinstalled' my OS was because of the speakers 🙂

HP Recommended

Yes, you should be able to uninstall the driver and restart the PC.

I don't know why it didn't work though since that driver was on your PC's support page (the only one).

You can also go to the device manager click to expand the sound, game and video controllers device category, click on the idt HD audio device click on the driver tab and see if you can click on the Roll back driver button.

HP Recommended

Yep.. neither do I... but I think that's what happen before, the IDT stepped in the speakers stepped out..
and you know what is even weirder... I 'unistalled' first .. restarted .. 'it' reinstalled itself ,,,, so deleted the little mutant
BUT as you may well guess.... speakers are back .. but no mike again
