Hi:
There is a forum ranking structure based on how many times you post something.
See this link for more info...
I don't think you can use the Realtek drivers because they are for a different audio chip.
You could try the other IDT audio drivers listed on the revision history tab for the IDT driver on your notebook's support page.
I still don't get why that original IDT driver is messing up the audio!
The microphone is not going to work unless you can find an IDT audio driver that actually installs and doesn't take out the speakers.

Oh well Paul, sorry I disappeared the yesters, but it was 3am, and you didn't reply my last two replys..
a n d ...
Kind of lost with this forum, I left a couple of 'reply' messages, but I cant find them anywhere now, so it looks like you may not got them.
I suggested on one of them to maybe try 'off market' drivers like 'Realtek'
anyway ..
In short (as if):
install IDT sp48174( I lose my speakers, headphones and mic.[and no Chrome mic, though at some point with IDT installed Chrome mic worked])
I click ‘sound recording’ it says “Device cant be found..” I click OK and it pops up green tick on “Speakers” IDT… CODEC” .. Default Device
above ‘red arrows’ pointing down for 2 ‘Digital Audio (HDMI) Not plugged in.
Control Panel click IDT … says “IDT Audio is inaccessible….”
Touch panel for volume Mute works
Recording tag
internal Mic (IDT… CODEC… ready)
Microphone (IDT… Currently unavailable)
Line In (IDT… Currently unavailable)
Rollback IDT in Device Manager
Speakers work
Headphones plugged in don’t work but speaker go like nothing happened.
Chrome still no mic
Touch panel Volume Mute yellow.. doesn’t work
Remove (Delete/uninstall from Programs and in C: SWsetup)
Restart:
Same result as Rollback
Thought .. Device Manager doesn’t complain whether IDT is there or not
Just me…

Yes, the camera is under imaging devices or something like that.
You may also need to install the HP Wecam software for additional webcam functionality.
This package provides the HP Webcam Software for use with the supported notebook models and operating systems. The HP Webcam Software, when paired with the integrated web camera, enables both video and still-image capture.

The sound...windows 7 installs a default driver which does not have full support for the audio system.
So there are few audio enhancements and things like the microphone often don't work.

Howdy pardner,
Wahooo!! got a camera that records pic n sound ... and guess what .. Chrome has its mic back ...
I reinstalled the evil IDT . so it seems almost all is as it should be.. tho .... as it was
"in the beginning" ... there was light... but no speakers 😉
I was thinkin (oh not again) my laptop seems to have 2009 on a couple of the labels... and one of the sites you led me to had a list of previous IDTs ... so whaddaya reckon? 😕
