Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently upgraded my HP 1000 Notebook PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 in order to benefit from the latest features and security enhancements. While the upgrade process itself went smoothly, I encountered a significant issue with the Wi-Fi driver, which has left me without a functioning wireless network connection.

Unfortunately, it seems that there are no official Windows 10 drivers available for my HP 1000 Notebook PC, and the Windows 8.1 drivers, which were the closest available, do not work with the upgraded Windows 10 operating system. I have attempted to install the Windows 8.1 drivers in compatibility mode, but this approach has proven ineffective. My wifi driver is uninstalled and i am not able to install a new driver. Need Suggestions, what should i do now?

Things I've tried:

1. installing drivers for windows 10 from official site

2. Installing drivers for windows 8.1 from official site
3. Using Driver Pack Solution to install drivers
3. Doing all the updates available for windows 10
4. Resetting my network

5. Resetting My Laptop

Nothing Worked.

Hi:

If the Wi-Fi adapter needs a driver, there will be a device listed under an 'Other devices' category in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.

Find that device and post the hardware ID for it.

Use this guide to find the hardware ID for a device:

How to Find Drivers for Unknown Devices in the Device Manager (howtogeek.com)

If you don't see a device labeled as a Network Controller, then your notebook probably has one of those Ralink Wi-Fi adapters and those models often completely disappear from the device manager on the newer releases of W10.

The only solution would be to either go back to W8.1 or purchase a USB Wi-Fi adapter.
