Hello
I have Hp Pavilion 15n-246ee. Recently I tried using the ethernet port for connecting internet but it won't work. On checking the device manager I found that ethernet controller drivers are not installed. I have tried selecting the automatically update drivers option but it finds no drivers. Below I have also enclosed the snapshot of device manager.
Please any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

The Windows 7 (64-bit) drivers for your notebook are located at the following link.
I suggest reinstalling the Intel chipset driver software. The link is below.
Does the wifi adapter work?

I have already gone through this page but there are no drivers for ethernet: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/6529948/model/683...
I have installed drivers downloaded from the following link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/6529948...
but still ethernet does not work.

Try the following driver software directly from Realtek.

The problem you are having is because of your choice of operating system.

I have tried the link you have sent. After submitting email address I am directed to displaying following message:
The product link is empty. Please find the product from the download center page. Click the download icon to download it.
What operating system should I be using insteand of Windows 7? Is it possible to know the model or number of ethernet port without disassembling the laptop?

Windows 10 is compatible with your notebook. All of the drivers, including for the LAN, are available.
The link I provided previously goes right to the Windows 10 drivers for your notebook.
This is what I get when I click on the link. The link, as far as I am aware, is not dead. I am accessing it from the Netherlands. when I fill in my email I get sent a download link from Realtek that allows me to download the file.

I can get to the webpage that you have shown in the image. But after I enter my email address and click submit I am redirected to the page below:
I get no download link in the email. I translated the text above and the translated message is below:
"The product link is empty. Please find the product from the download center page. Click the download icon to download it."
Is there anyway I can get know the model or serial of ethernet port on my laptop without disassemblying the laptop?
Thanks
