HP Pavilion x360 - 15-bk163dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hello everyone, about a month or two I had a problem with my Hp pavilion notebook. The Wifi no longer worked and the sound system stopped working as well. I tried plenty of ways by diagnosing with the hp support assistant, restoring my windows to a previous state (had no back up) and to just reinstalling the whole windows in my laptop. at the end no luck. Most common results I received are :

1. Hp support assistant says no audio hardware is detected for my audio so I'm suspecting it could be faulty.

2. Hp support assistant doesn't fix the Wifi issue at all.

3. I installed the Wifi and Sound drivers over and over and over... and had no luck fixing them.

however, I also suspect that, it could be the BIOS. I personally opened up my laptop and cant seem to see any faulty wire or product inside. its a very frustrating matter, not knowing if its hardware related or software, as well as just not using my laptop properly. at the moment I am using the Wifi adapter which is to how I am receiving Wifi signals, and I have no sound in my laptop at the same time. I'm living in Africa so there is no HP support around for me to take it to, but I'm willing to fix it myself if its internally or just on a software related.

Hello again, I did what you instructed... but during the installations of the drivers the system crashed (blue screen of death), and it restarted. so I went and looked up the update history and found one driver that failed, as well as 2 remining drivers that didn't download or install. below are screenshots of what it shows.

Installed Drivers, and driver indicated by arrow which failed.Installed Drivers, and driver indicated by arrow which failed. These are the drivers that remained, even though I'm sure I downloaded all and tried installingThese are the drivers that remained, even though I'm sure I downloaded all and tried installing

right now its asking me to restart since the other driver updates got installed. so I'm going to proceed with restarting.

Also now the Wi-Fi adapter I have plugged in stops working and gets very very hot. So I have no Wi-Fi at all on the laptop, I’m scared it could be because the windows drivers I just installed 😞
