My HP Pavilion is telling me the Wifi button is switched off but I can't find any wifi button. There is no wifi button in the function keys and I can find no switch or button anywhere on the machine.
I've tried running HP Support Assistant and Wifi Diagnostics, but the suggested remedy is to switch on the wifi button and there isn't one!
Could anyone help?
Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. It does have the airplane icon on the F12 key, but this only switches the airplane mode on and off and doesn't affect the wifi. I've tried pressing Function and the F12 key, but this also doesn't help.
In the network settings, the wifi is showing as enabled, but the wifi is not connected and says no connections are available.
I've checked the manual for this model and it says the wifi button is the F12 key and shows a picture of a wifi mast on that button, but on my laptop no button has a wifi mast on it.
Is there a way to manually turn the wifi back on?
Thank you.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what the issue could be, but it seems to me for some reason, the wifi is turned off.
Could be a hardware issue--like the wifi antenna has come off the antenna terminal on the wifi card. It happens.
