Hi @Meagg,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it is when your laptop suddenly shows “No Wi-Fi networks found”, especially if you need to get online urgently. This usually happens due to one of these reasons:
- Wi-Fi adapter disabled or missing
- Driver corruption after update
- Hardware or BIOS issue
Let’s troubleshoot step by step:
Step 1: Check Wi-Fi Toggle
- Press Fn + F12 (or the key with the wireless icon) to ensure Wi-Fi is enabled.
- Look for the wireless light should be white/blue, not orange.
Step 2: Verify in Device Manager
- Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Network adapters.
- Look for your Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel, or MediaTek).
- If missing → driver issue.
- It shows a yellow warning → driver corruption.
Step 3: Reinstall Wi-Fi Driver
- Go to HP’s official site:
👉 Official HP® Support - Enter your laptop model and download the latest Wireless LAN driver.
- Install and restart.
Step 4: Run HP Network Check
- Open HP Support Assistant → Network Check.
- It will diagnose and fix common connectivity issues.
Step 5: BIOS & Hardware Check
- Restart and press F10 for BIOS.
- Check if the Wireless Network is enabled.
- If it’s missing even in BIOS, → possible hardware failure.

I hope this helps.
