Welcome to HP support community.

Uninstall network adapter and restart the computer and then try to connect to hotspot.

Uninstall the network adapter driver

  1. Use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network adapters.
  3. Select the name of your adapter, right-click it, and select Uninstall.
  4. Click on the Delete the driver software for this device check box.
  5. Click OK to confirm.
  6. Restart the computer.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
