Hello dear community,
Some time ago, during the system launch, bluescreen error flashed for a moment and then my notebook was restarting over and over. I entered safe mode and launched system using the option "Latest working settings". Unfortunately, now I have a problem with my WiFi. My device is Qualcomm Atheros QCWB335 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall drivers(few different ones to be sure), tried to reset BIOS to default settings and checked if my WiFi is turned on(my WiFi lamp is blue) - my device is visible in the "network connections section", turned on and working properly in the device manager(driver is working properly here too), but still there's not a single WiFi connection available(I checked it in few different places where I live). There is no problem with the ethernet cable connection. Windows Update cannot repair this issue. Windows Diagnostics says: "This may be due to a problem with the driver of wireless network connection card" and "There are problems with a wireless network adapter". I can provide screenshots if needed. I think I did every possible thing and so far nothing worked.
Few days ago I've ordered a duplicate of my WiFi device, replaced the one I have and the result is still the same. Windows detected the device and installed drivers automatically, it is visible and working properly, but it's not detecting any WiFi connections.
Maybe I am missing something really simple? Looking for reply 🙂

Hi @Kamil91,
I read your super quick response. Thanks for the response. Great effort, terrific resolve and stupendous persistence to try and get the issue fixed. Hats off for a job superbly done. 🙂
Please format and reinstall windows and that should do the trick for you.
If not, a fabulous workaround would be is to buy a USB Wi-Fi dongle and plug it to one of the USB ports of the computer. Then connect it to the Wi-Fi router to go online. This is a cost effective and economical solution. You could order one from eBay or Amazon for a song. You could also contact your local Best Buy or Staples store for doing it.
It has been a fabulous experience working with you considering your great technical skills. :) Trust me I’ve done all I can here by keeping your best interest in mind. A lot of time effort and research went into it and thanks again for giving me the privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂
I hope the unit works great and stays healthy for a long time. 🙂
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Please take care, stay healthy, keep smiling big and do have a blessed year ahead.

Hi @Kamil91,
Good Day!! Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums. I reviewed the post about Wifi issues with the computer. It will be a delight to assist you.
Spectacular understanding and commendable description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:
- Did you install the same Wi-Fi card again that you ordered?
To isolate any hardware related issues, please perform all the prescribed steps from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02543015
Please check this link also: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Common-fixes-for-wireless-connectivity...
If this does not work please backup all your files and reinstall windows 7 from the recovery media or from the recovery partition if it is still the original operating system that came with the machine. Link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01867418 and select the most appropriate option that best describes your situation.
Finally, if nothing works, then it the wireless card may be faulty and needs to be replaced. A fabulous workaround would be is to buy a USB Wi-Fi dongle and plug it to one of the USB ports of the computer. Then connect it to the Wi-Fi router to go online. This is a cost effective and economical solution. You could order one from eBay or Amazon for a song. You could also contact your local Best Buy or Staples store for doing it.
Hope this helps. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Please reach out for any issues and I'll always be there to assist you always.

Thank you for your reply!
I did every possible thing from the sources you provided and nothing helped so far. As I mentioned earlier, my original WiFi device is Qualcomm Atheros QCWB335. The one I ordered is Qualcomm Atheros AR5B95, pretty much the same thing. Both are detected by the Windows after I put them in and the system automatically install drivers when needed.
I guess I have to format my notebook and reinstall the system. I will report if this will help me(hopefully) 🙂

Hello again!
I've finally formatted my notebook(I was really busy until now) and installed the same Windows system - and my WiFi is finally working! 🙂
unfortunately, the format caused another problem related to graphics, which I described here:
Thank you one more time for your help! 🙂
