Notebook 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Notebook stopped being able to detect it's wireless device. The drivers and all trace of the device were totally removed from the system. I could not update the drivers, could not download new ones and I could not reactivate the old ones or even check their settings.

To fix the issue I did a system restore to an older version before an update about a week ago. That update was not the one that caused the problems and I wasn't able to work out what update did. However, restoring to before then did seem to fix the issue.

How do I stop this from happening again?

Can you explain what exactly you did before the drivers and wireless connection stopped working?

Also, I have a similar issue, and apparently connecting to the router with an ethernet cable should work, and it should recognise the wireless again, and should be able to use it properly.

Good luck, hope it will work out

I didn't do anything. I turned the laptop off and a day or so later I turned it on. It might have installed some update when it shut down im not sure.
