I purchased my Omen 15-ax243dx new back in 2017, and never had issues connecting to wireless networks and accessing the internet until I moved a few years ago and had to change ISPs. Went from ATT to Spectrum, and suddenly my laptop could no longer access the internet via wifi, even though other devices (phone, other laptops) could successfully access the web on the same network. The device could connect to the network, but was showing that the network wasn't accessing the internet. Tried HP & Windows troubleshooting assistants with no success. Updated all wireless drivers, cleared DNS cache, etc. Gave up and used the laptop like a desktop, connected to modem via ethernet for two years. Earlier this year, I moved again, and had to change ISPs back to ATT. The laptop suddenly had no issues accessing the internet on the new ATT wireless network. Rejoice! Unfortunately, the download speeds were painfully slow, so my roommate and I elected to switch ISPs to Suddenlink, who promised 1Gbps download speeds. Technician came out, switched over the hardware, and the wireless network works on every device...except my laptop.
Any ideas what would cause issues accessing the internet on a wireless network with one ISP, but not another? A laptop that can only connect to some wireless networks is not very useful, and I'd rather not shell out for a new PC if this one can be saved. Please help.

Hi:
Since you can't connect to the internet, I guess you have nothing to lose by really trying to go back to square one.
1. Download and save the latest Intel 7265 ACwifi driver from the Intel website.
Do not install the driver at this time.
Download Windows® 10 Wi-Fi Drivers for Intel® Wireless Adapters
2. 'Forget' the wireless network you are connected to.

3. Go to the device manager, click to expand the Network adapters device manager category.
Right click on the Intel wifi adapter listed there and select Uninstall. Also check the uninstall driver box.
4. Restart the PC, Windows will probably reinstall the Intel wifi driver.
5. Install the latest Intel wifi driver you saved.
6. Set up your wireless connection again and hopefully, it will work all the way.
If not, you can back up any of your files and programs you installed since you purchased the notebook and try factory resetting it.
You can also make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...
