I recently bought an Omen Transcend 14. I really like it except the colors are oversaturated, like you took the vibrance slider in Lightroom too far. Is there a way to bring this down? Google is not showing me options that exist on this machine.

Hi @sumonva2,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand Omen colors are too saturated Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To fix the oversaturated colors on your OMEN Transcend 14, you can adjust the display settings through the HP OMEN Gaming Hub or through Windows display calibration settings.

Here's how to address the issue:

1. HP OMEN Gaming Hub Settings

The OMEN Gaming Hub allows you to fine-tune your display settings. Follow these steps:

Open OMEN Gaming Hub: HP OMEN Gaming Hub for Windows

  • Press the Windows key and type OMEN Gaming Hub to open the app.

Navigate to Display Settings:

  • Go to the "Performance Control" or "Lighting & Display" section, depending on your version of the OMEN Gaming Hub.
  • Look for a section called "Display" or "Screen Control".

Adjust Color Settings:

  • Some OMEN laptops allow you to adjust the color temperature or color profile from the Gaming Hub. Look for settings like sRGB, Vivid, or Gaming mode.
  • Change it to sRGB or a more natural color mode if available. This should reduce the oversaturation.

2. Windows Display Calibration (if Gaming Hub doesn’t have color options)

If the Gaming Hub doesn't resolve the issue, you can use Windows' built-in color calibration tools:

Open Display Settings:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select Display Settings.
  • Scroll down and click on Advanced Display Settings.

Calibrate Display Color:

  • Click on Display adapter properties at the bottom of the window.
  • In the Color Management tab, click Color Management.
  • Select the Advanced tab and click on Calibrate Display.

Follow Calibration Steps:

  • This tool will guide you through adjusting your gamma, brightness, contrast, and color balance to ensure accurate colors.

Adjust the Saturation:

  • At the end of the calibration process, there may be an option to fine-tune the saturation.

3. Intel Graphics Command Center (If you have Intel Integrated Graphics)

Since the OMEN Transcend 14 likely uses Intel’s integrated graphics alongside the discrete GPU:

Open Intel Graphics Command Center:

  • Press the Windows key and type Intel Graphics Command Center.

Adjust Color Settings:

  • Go to Display and click on Color.
  • Adjust the Saturation slider to reduce the oversaturation.
  • You can also adjust Brightness, Contrast, and other color settings.

4. NVIDIA Control Panel (if using NVIDIA graphics)

If your OMEN Transcend 14 has an NVIDIA GPU:

Open NVIDIA Control Panel:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.

Adjust Color Settings:

  • Under the Display section, click on Adjust desktop color settings.
  • Use the Digital Vibrance slider to reduce the saturation until the colors look more natural.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
