HP Elitebook 850 G8
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all, this is my first time reaching out for assistance from the community. My workplace has just upgraded to new HP Elitebook 850 G8's. These laptops do NOT come with a physical ethernet NiC. I tried using a random USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter, although the computer does not recognize the adaptor in the UEFI. I have disabled Safe Boot and all security settings that could prevent this device from working. I want to PXE boot these laptops to re-image them. I read somewhere that you need a specific adaptor per manufacturer.

So really the question is, where would I find the specific adaptor for the HP Elitebook 850 G8? Where the adaptor works natively and is recognized by Boot Options.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

You have to use a right adapter, for example the Surface adapter won't wok with Lenovo machines. Please check following requirements first

Thanks for the response!

Would you know how I could go about checking a specific adapter if it would work for our HP EliteBook 850 G8's?

Thanks,
