Hi @Boggy49,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I'm sorry you're experiencing issues with your HP Envy Pro 7800. It can be frustrating when the paper doesn't feed properly. Let's work on resolving this together!

  • Do you hear any unusual noises, like grinding or clicking, when the printer attempts to pick up paper?
  • Have you tried using different types of paper or checked to ensure the paper is loaded correctly and within the printer's paper guide adjustments?
  • Have you encountered any paper jams recently, or is there any debris visible in the paper feed area?

Check Paper Alignment: Ensure the paper stack is properly aligned, not wrinkled, and within the paper tray's guides. Avoid overloading the tray.

Inspect for Obstructions: Open the printer and inspect the paper feed area and rollers for jams or debris. Gently remove anything that might block the paper path.

Clean the Paper Rollers: Using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water, clean the paper feed rollers inside the printer to ensure they grip the paper properly.

Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 2-3 minutes. Reconnect it, power it back on, and try printing again.

Run a Diagnostic Test: If your printer has a built-in diagnostic mode or tool via its control panel or the HP Smart app, run it to identify any mechanical issues.

If the problem persists, the printer may need servicing to address potential hardware issues. In this case, I recommend you contact phone support for service options.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
