I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the ongoing Wi-Fi disconnection issue I have been experiencing with my HP 15s-du3047TX laptop, which I purchased in 2020.
For approximately 1.5 years now, I have been facing intermittent Wi-Fi disconnections whenever I plug in the laptop's charger. I have observed the following patterns:
- Earthing Connection: When the charger is plugged into a 3-pin socket with an earthing connection, the Wi-Fi disconnects and fails to reconnect until the charger is unplugged.
- No Earthing Connection: If the charger is plugged into a 3-pin socket without an earthing connection, the Wi-Fi disconnects. However, after switching off the Wi-Fi for a few minutes and then turning it back on, I am able to reconnect to the network.
- Power Outages: Every time there is a power outage, the Wi-Fi connection is lost.
I have visited an authorized HP service center, Sysnet Global Technologies in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, and they suggested replacing the motherboard as a possible solution. However, I am seeking a more definitive and long-lasting solution to this recurring problem.

This is a peer-to-peer forum.
We do not work for or represent HP.
According to the product specs for your notebook, it comes with a Realtek RTL8822CE Wi-Fi adapter.
Two suggestions I can offer would be to:
1. Update the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version HP has for that model Wi-Fi adapter:
2024.10.229.1
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp155001-155500/sp155074.exe
2. If that doesn't help, it is extremely unlikely that motherboard replacement is needed to fix the problem.
As a matter of fact, it would probably be a waste of time and money.
I recommend you replace/upgrade the RTL8822CE Wi-Fi card to this model which normally works trouble-free.
