The sim slot of my hp elitebook 745 G6 is not working and I want to know the reason

Every HP Elitebook 745 G6 has a SIM card slot.

 

What 90% of them don't have is the optional WWAN adapter that is needed in order to connect to a cellular service.

 

All the SIM card does is to authorize you to use your cellular provider's network.

 

In order for the SIM card to work, your notebook must have the following WWAN adapter installed and report as present and working under the Network adapters device manager category.

 

Intel XMM 7360
