Probably only around 10% of Hp elitebook 840 G3 machines have WWAN card builtin. Did you buy your machine with WWAN card option ? Without WWAN card option, the SIM card is useless. Please check Device Manager, does your machine have one of the following entries
- HP lt4120 LTE/EVDO/HSPA+ SnapdragonT X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module
- HP hs31110 HSPA + Intel Mobile Broadband Module
If yes, you have to check your provider to see how.
