Broadcom wireless n adapter (v. 6.30.223.256) has a very poor performance with my HP8560p laptop (only 1 bar strength). In the same room i have another laptop with adapter from Intel which consistently shows 3-4 bars . Because of this and despite the fact its a low-end laptop its perfomance is better than my HP .
Lan driver downloaded via windows update is Intel(R) 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection.
Is there a possible fix for this? I cant find a way to get rid of this adapter , seems to be the standard and only option for my laptop, or am i wrong?

Thanks.

So...yes you can replace the BCM wifi adapter with this one...
Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 HP Part Number 631954-001
Two important things...
1. You must buy that specific adapter with that specific part number. You can most likely find one in used but tested and working condition on eBay. Do your search by the HP part #, not the model of the wifi card.
I would select one that says it comes from a HP 2560p, 64/5/60b or 84/5/60p, and would try to get one that actually shows the picture of the wifi card with the part number on it, not some stock photo.

2. Make sure you live in one of these countries...the card won't work otherwise...

Hi:
Please post the hardware ID for the Broadcom wifi adapter your notebook comes with.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...You will click on the Broadcom wifi adapter under the Network Adapters device manager category.
I want to see if the W10 driver will work for the hardware ID your notebook has.

Thank you for the solution. May i ask if i downgrade at windows 8 or7 should i use the existed adapter of my laptop with another driver appropriate for win 8 or 7 and if yes which is in order to have a decent signal?

You're very welcome.
You may want to check to make sure the two antenna cables are securely fastened to the BCM wifi card. That could be causing a bad wifi signal unless it only happened after you upgraded to W10.
If they are, and you want to go back to W8/W7, then I guess that would work, but support for W7 ends in less than two years.
W10 should install a driver for the Intel 6205. Intel has removed the drivers from the support site. They no longer support the card.
