HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fd1000 (917U0AV)

Hi all,,

I have a problem with my new laptop
As I'm MBA student, when I'm using Teams or Zoom for lectures, I've just noticed that, where the power cable is unplugged, there is a poor connection message appears (cutting in connection signals happens, making the lecture, video, or sound pause for sec or 2, and then proceed normally. And this happens periodically)

Note that it happens when the battery mode is balanced and best performance.
Note that the battery is full.
Note that this problem does not exist when the power cable is connected
So what is the problem, and what is the solution?
Thanks

I had a similar issue with my new hp 15-fc0093dx with a Realtek 8852be-vs 802.11ax wifi 6 adapter in Feb. 2024. I don't know if it applies to your problem but it is something to consider. wifi was stable when running on the power adapter. But had chronic wifi drops when running on battery. I had a wifi 4 router. All other devices (hp laptop with a Realtek wifi 5 adapter, iphone, roku streaming stick) had no wifi connection problems. I replaced my router with a wifi 6 compliant router and that fixed my problem. I can't prove it but I believe it is related to a feature introduced in wifi 6 called Target Wake Time (TWT). TWT was designed to extend battery life by reducing the amount of time the adapter spends searching for a radio signal (the sleep/wake time). From what I have read the Access point and adapter negotiate this sleep/wake time. And my guess is that it is turned off when the power adapter is plugged in.
