Hi, I got some problems with my network adapter driver. My wifi connection keep saying no connection are available and it has red x symbol. Then, I decided to download  Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter software online at HP website. After I installed it, my wifi connection can operate normally. But, a few days later, it became no connection are available and has red x symbol at the connection. I checked into my device manager and saw my Realtek RTL8723 802. 11 dissapearing.  Sometimes it can connect to the wifi for a few minutes then suddenly the wifi indicator turns red light means no connection are available. Then, I try for troubleshooting and it says Plug an Ethernet cable into the network adapter "Ethernet". That means the ethernet also has a problem too. But, isn't the ethernet cable is for pc but why it has on my laptop? The realtek software keep dissapearing from my pc and it makes no connection are available. Please help me because I have tried so many solutions but nothing works! Recently, I tried to update my windows but after the windows install the updates, my laptop facing a blue screen problem saying your pc has ran into a problem and needs to restart. And after I restart it , the blue screen problem keep appearing and I decided to do a recovery solution that is to refresh my pc. Anyone know why my network adapter facing this problem?? Is it my wireless internet card broken?

@Clara97 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing issues with network drivers.

Do not worry. Let's work together and get this issue addressed.

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

  1. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

  1. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  2. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  3. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

Please refer to the following link to troubleshoot the issue.

If the issue still persists, perform the system restore.

Hi,thanks for your reply. I've tried to update all my drivers before using HP Support Assistant but it's not working. Maybe I should try to perform system restore. I want to ask you about system restore because I did not trying this method yet. If I perform system restore, do it delete all my videos, music, pictures, documents, and software?

@Clara97

I understand your concerns.

It will provide you the following two options while performing the system reset.

    • Keep my files: When you select this option, the computer:

      • Keeps your personal files intact when reinstalling Windows 10.

      • Deletes all apps and drivers you installed.

      • Removes all changes to settings.

      • Deletes all HP apps that came preinstalled on your computer. HP apps are reinstalled if your PC came with Windows 10.

  1. Remove everything: When you select this option, the computer:

    • Removes all personal files when reinstalling Windows 10.

    • Deletes all apps and drivers you installed.

    • Removes all changes to settings.

    • Deletes all HP apps that came preinstalled on your computer. HP apps are reinstalled if your PC came with Windows 10.

    NOTE:

    Select this option if you plan to donate, sell, or recycle your PC.

    Have a nice day!!
