Hello everyone. I've had this issue for almost a month.
The problem is my computer isn't able to establish a conection with my router. Also, all the networks are detected with extremly weak signal (no bars at all or just one bar). My other devices don't have any issue like this, thus it's not problem with my router.
I have contected HP Support and carried out all their instructions unfortunately with no good results, these instructions are listed below:
- Update the controller for the Realtek adapter.
- Uninstalling the adapter and reinstalling it.
- Installed some other controllers given by the support.
- Test for the physical wireless module to be working: APPROVED
- Done the System Recovey, both from my computer system and from bootable USB provided by the HP Support.
- Even sent my computer to their Repair Center, thinking that it had something to do with hardware but nothing changed.
Some other info that might be useful:
The last attempt, HP Support sent me a controller that was said to be compatible with my equipment specifications. But when trying to install it a CMD prompt opned and show a message: "Infraction when sharing" (in spanish "Infracción al compartir"). Thus, not allowing the controller to be installed properly. May be by installing it the problem get solved.
Here my specifications:
Model: Pavvilion 15-cw1012la
Windows version: 1909
Wireless adapter: Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCle
Adapter controller version: 2024.0.10.209
Hope you guys have some useful information to solve my problem.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed.
While doing the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.
Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows )You can also contact HP support for assistance. They can remotely access your system to help alleviate difficulties: www.hp.com/contacthp/
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.
