Hi @fewifonwonfwrog,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you have trouble with the Bluetooth. Here are some steps to troubleshoot Bluetooth pairing on your HP Chromebook:

1. Check Bluetooth Status

  • Click the time in the bottom-right corner of your Chromebook.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON.
  • If it’s off, toggle it on and wait a few seconds.

2. Put Headphones in Pairing Mode

  • Even if they’re on, they might not be in pairing mode.
  • Press and hold the Bluetooth/pairing button on your headphones until the LED flashes (usually blue or alternating colors).

3. Forget Previous Connections

  • If your headphones were paired with another device recently, disconnect them from that device or reset the headphones.
  • Many headphones require holding the power button for 10–15 seconds to reset.

4. Scan for Devices

  • On your Chromebook, go to Settings → Bluetooth.
  • Click Pair new device and wait for your headphones to appear.
  • Select them and click Connect.

5. Restart Both Devices

  • Restart your Chromebook and turn your headphones off and back on.
  • Try pairing again.

6. Update ChromeOS

  • Go to Settings → About ChromeOS → Check for updates.
  • Install any available updates and restart.

If your headphones still don’t show up:

  • Confirm they support Bluetooth (not just wired).
  • Try pairing with another device to rule out headphone issues.
  • If they work elsewhere, your Chromebook’s Bluetooth might need a reset or hardware check.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
