Thank you for your help.

I want to give an update. After I ran an extensive test, the problem seems to have dimmed down. When I switch on my laptop, it connects to the wifi. Sometimes, it stays connected the entire time (few hours). A few times, it got disconnected, and started showing No Networks Found, so I put it to sleep mode for a few minutes. When I woke it up again, it again connected, and stayed connected.

Also, this time I noticed that the laptop momentarily freezes before the network disconnects. I am not sure if it happens every time, or if it happened before as well.

Does this help figure out if the problem is software or hardware related?

Will this problem be fixed if I reset my laptop? I wanted to keep it as a last resort, but looks like nothing else is working.

@Niekon It could be intermittent, I suggest you leave the device under observation for a few days and check if it continues to work fine even after restarting it, if the issue persists, it could be a hardware malfunction and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
