HP Pavillion Laptop 15-cw1xxx

My laptop won’t seem to connect to wifi unless it is less than a meter away from the router. When in that meter range, the wifi works just fine, but outside that range there barely is any signal if any. I’ve tried to update the drivers and reset network setting but the problem is still not resolved

select a different channel in the router.  You might also set a different SSID for the 5 and the 2.4 band as the printer might get confused.

My problem is that it happens even when I am alone and with other routers, I don’t think the channel being busy is the problem
