Hi:

it should be fixable if you do this...

Why it happened...Probably had the BT turned off in the HP connection manager software during the upgrade from W7>W10.

Since the HP connection manager does not work in W10, the BT is turned off and cannot be turned on unless you:

Make a bootable Ubuntu installer.

Get Ubuntu | Download | Ubuntu

Tutorial to make a bootable USB Ubuntu installer:

Create a bootable USB stick with Rufus on Windows | Ubuntu

Boot from the installer and select the option to 'Try Ubuntu without installing.'

Turn on the BT in Ubuntu.

Exit Ubuntu, shut down the PC, remove the installer, restart the PC and W10 will install the BT device and after a while, will download the W10 BT driver for the BCM BT adapter.

Your other option which would involve more effort would be to reinstall W7, install the HP connection manager software, turn on the BT using the connection manager software and then upgrade back to W10.

Were you able to turn on the Bluetooth in Ubuntu?

You will never get the Bluetooth to work unless you do either method I gave you.

Make sure that the Bluetooth adapter is enabled in the BIOS.

Nevermind...

It decided to work for one time and it is now gone again...🙄

Then it must be a hardware issue with either the module or the cable.

Check the cable connections to make sure they are secure.
