RT3290 wifi card replacement

Hello everyone,

I currently own a HP ENVY M6-1262SF released in 2013 with a Ralink RT3290 wifi module (on the module there is a sticker with number SP690020).

I want to upgrade my wifi card to a better one, with dual band.

Intel 7260HNW wifi card seems interesting, do you think it will be compatible?

In addition, I don't know if my laptop has a whitelist, can you please tell me how I can check this point?

Hello,

I am the creator of this thread (I have lost my password).

I have been able to succesfully replace my wifi module with the following one:

Intel AC 7260 (HP number 756753-001)

For info this module was not specified in the service guide, so maybe this laptop doesn't have a whitelist.
