Hi, in my pc, the linux distros having kernel version newer than 4.19.6 are no longer detecting the bluetooth adapter. I have to downgrade the kernel to get support for rtl8723d adapter. What might be the issue?

My guess is that realtek stopped supporting it. There are multiple ways you can install the driver onto later kernels. On Ubuntu, the easiest way is tongo to Additional Software , There should be an option to install the driver as a kernel module or dkms. Press on the installation button and reboot your computer once it has been completed. It should work then afterwards.

My Setup:
HP Notebook: HP 14-dk0028wm
Current Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
