On my newly purchased Elitebook G10 with AMD Ryzen, HP installed the RTL8852CE module as WIFI/Bluetooth combo.

Unfortunately, listening to audio via bluetooth speakers is a pain due to intermittent audio lagging and stuttering.

After debugging the issue, I found that being connected to a 5 GHZ Wifi network at same time caused the above described issue. Being connected to a 2,4 GHZ Wifi, the audio interference still persists though with less interference. I'd like projected buyers to know this issue, as I have not found any similar thread.

I will consider returning the device or ask the support to swap the Wifi/Bluetooth module with the Intel module.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers to the latest version that HP currently has:

Wi-Fi:

 Version 6001.16.162.1

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp155501-156000/sp155768.exe

Fix and enhancements:

- Fixes an issue that causes sounds lagging from Bluetooth headset when connect to Wi-Fi and play online music. (RTL8852CE) - Fixes an issue where audio from the Bluetooth headset is delayed when the system is playing online music through a wireless access point. (RTL8852CE) - Fixes an issue that causes the Wi-Fi to perform poorly. (RTL8852CE).

Bluetooth:

Version 18.4017.2405.2403

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp155001-155500/sp155460.exe

Thanks, Paul. That actually fixed the issue. However, I'm astonished that this Wifi driver update is not offered by HP Support Assistant. As per Support Assistant, all latest drivers are installed.

Bluetooth driver is already at 1.10.1061.3021, hence no update was required.

Wifi driver is now at 6001.16.162.1 with manual installation.

You're very welcome.

Yes, I had checked your notebook's support page for the latest drivers, and HP still has the previous version listed for the Wi-Fi-- 6001.16.162.0.

Normally HP keeps the drivers for the business PC's updated, so I was rather surprised not to find it there.

The HP support assistant software is only as good as long as HP has uploaded the most recent drivers to the support page for your notebook.

In other words, it does not search for absolutely the latest drivers possible--just what is possible from your specific model notebook's support page.

I found the drivers I gave you from the HP OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop PC GT16-0000i series' support page.

Cheers,

Paul

PS: An Intel card, such as the equivalent AX210 non-vPro may not work in your notebook.

It would be a complete experiment to install one.

The only two model Wi-Fi cards offered were these:

Mediatek RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E Bluetooth 5.3 AIM-T WLAN     N19618-001
Realtek 8852CE Wi-Fi 6E Bluetooth 5.3 WLAN                  N22541-001

Thanks & acknowledged. But why is that? Your proposal in this thread was confirmed working.

Hi:

The discussion you posted was in reference to a notebook with an Intel processor and chipset.

Yours has an AMD processor and chipset and only certain model Intel cards may work.

Since HP didn't offer any Intel cards in your notebook's model series, that's why I wrote that it would be an experiment to install one.
