I have Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter in my HP Laptop. I have also a gigabit router which has 2.4GHz & 5GHz band. so when I switch on my wifi in my phone it will shows both the band, but in my laptop its only showing 2.4GHz, so is that means my adapter does not support 5GHz or there is any other issue ? pls tell me.

Hi:'

That is correct.

The Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter only works on the 2.5 GHz wifi band.

Anytime you see a WiFi N card with a suffix that ends in bgn, that means it is a single band (2.4 GHz only) wifi adapter.

Dual band WiFi N adapters have suffixes that end in abgn or agn.
