Nvm, It failed again after some use. And this time, uninstalling the unknown usb drive and scanning for hardware changes did not bring the bluetooth back.

@Pallipurath
Read the full thread, please don't say dumb things.
I have clearly said that I  have already tried EC reset, and it is just a temporary fix.
Please let @Kuroi_Kenshi handle this.

Hi @8L7Y4PA,

Thank you for the update. I understand that the power/EC reset is only a temporary workaround and that this time even uninstalling the Unknown USB Device and scanning for hardware changes did not restore Bluetooth. I won’t ask you to repeat those steps.

The screenshots confirm that Windows is reporting:

  • Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)
  • Error Code 43
  • Hardware ID: USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE
  • Location: Port_#0005.Hub_#0001

Because the MediaTek Bluetooth adapter and a USB device entry fail together, and the Bluetooth adapter returns after a power reset but later disappears again, this is no longer behaving like a straightforward Bluetooth driver installation issue.

At this point, I recommend HP hardware-level diagnosis of the Bluetooth/wireless module and its connection/interface to the system board rather than continuing with repeated driver reinstalls or resets.
