Hi Paul, I've been having issues with this model of adapter (like many others) as well. It seems mostly fine but sporadically my connection will drop for about 1-2 seconds which has been annoying. Does the driver version you linked above work for any model of HP computer? Just as I checked the drivers for my desktop (M01-F0026na) and the latest driver is only 2024.0.10.215. Also wondering where you get the latest driver from as it would be good to see any release notes/fixes as well.
Alternatively, as I don't have much faith that the latest drivers will make too much difference, would buying a USB wifi adapter solve the issues as then I wouldn't need to use the Realtek one? Do you have any recommendations if that's the case?
Thank you for your time.

Hi:
The driver I posted will work on any PC with that model wifi adapter...desktop or notebook.
Here is the full description of the driver with the release notes.
2024.0.10.217 Aug 10, 2020
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp107501-108000/sp107515.exe
Description:
This package contains the DCHU driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8188EE, RTL8723BE, RTL8723DE, RTL8821CE, RTL8822BE and RTL8822CE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook and desktop models running a supported Windows 10 or Windows 10 Cloud operating system.
Fix and enhancements:
- Provides support for Windows 10 v1803 and later versions.
- Provides the following drivers:
Realtek RTL8188EE/RTL8723BE, v2024.0.4.208
Realtek RTL8821CE/RTL8723DE/RTL8822BE/RTL8822CE, v2024.0.10.217
This dual band USB AC wifi adapter looks pretty good. It has a faster throughput than the RTL8821CE adapter has.
Then you can still use the Bluetooth on the Realtek wifi card and use the USB for wifi.

I installed the 2024.0.10.217 version and then later that evening, HP Support Assistant popped up and said there was a 2024.0.10.218 version so I installed that as well. It does appear to be fixed thankfully.
