Microsoft Windows 11

There is a huge problem with Realtek 8852CE WLAN Driver.

It keeps disconnecting.'

It started the day I got the laptop and Windows Update was done.

Have tried both Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2, same issue.

Got the latest BIOS and the latest drivers installed.

Same on all the laptops we bought with this chipset, it is definitly a chipset driver problem.

HP support only tells me to send the laptops in, but it will take months to get it back and they can't update the drivers themselfs. Realtek has to do that, until then HP should replace the actual WIFI chip to something that works...

I'm stuck here.

Hi:

I agree with you but since this is a peer-to-peer forum, we aren't in a position to do anything about replacing the Wi-Fi card with a different model.

The only reliable Wi-Fi cards out there that HP uses are the Intel ones.

The latest HP driver I could find for the RTL8852CE is 6001.16.136.1, 06/06/2023

You didn't mention what driver version you have installed, so I checked the Microsoft Update catalog website.

Microsoft has a different driver... 6001.16.126.308,  7/14/2023

You may want to give that one a try, First one on the list.

Hi,

I've sent the laptop to HP. It has been away for 3 weeks now. The support say they are "missing parts", but I don't know if they are replacing the chip with another or not, the support can't see that info from the technician they say.

I've tried these versions of the driver and the latest from Microsoft Windows Update.
