HP Notebook - 15-db1041nm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I want to update drivers for my laptop's bluetooth adapter. The laptop is HP Notebook - 15-db1041nm and has a Realtek Bluetooth 4.2 adapter (along with Realtek RTL 8821CE wifi adapter).

So currently my Bluetooth adapter has a driver ver. 1.8.1037.3002 dated from Dec 17th 2020 and if there is newer, I'd like to update it. Windows 10 64bit.

Another question is can I update the whole card for a newer one? Is the BIOS maybe locked as Lenovo does?

Hi:

Your notebook may only be able to support a select few different model Wi-Fi adapters since it has an AMD processor but the worst part is that the RTL8821CE Wi-Fi adapter only has one Wi-Fi antenna wire connected to it and a better card would require two antenna wires.

Installing a second antenna wire would involve a considerable amount of work (assuming you can find the antenna kit you need), and is probably not worth the time or trouble to take the whole notebook apart including the display panel assembly.

Here are the links to the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers HP has for the RTL8821CE Wi-Fi adapter:

Version 2024.10.230.0

sp155596.exe

Version 1.10.1072.3000

sp155460.exe
