How fix it

Hi:

 

What do you need to fix?

 

The ethernet controller is an integral part of the motherboard.

 

The only way to fix it would be to replace the motherboard.

 

It would be a lot easier and cheaper to buy a USB to RJ-45 ethernet adapter, plug it into your notebook's USB port and you can have ethernet that way.

 

If it's a driver you need, you can download the latest W8.1 driver directly from the Realtek site at the link below.

 

Download, unzip and run the setup application for the W8.1 driver file at the link below...
