HP Pavilion - 15-ck005no

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller on my HP Pavilion Laptop only runs at 10 Mbit/ s. How can I make it run at 1GBit/ s?
Latest driver is installed. I have tried different settings in the advanced option for the network adapter without succes.

My very old Sony Vaio runs at 1GBit/ s when it´s connected to the same router!

bring up the device manager and see if you can force a better band or speed.  For wifi, regardless of what band you prefer, if the modem has the same SSID for 2.4, 5 or 6 rest assured the modem will give you the 2.4 and not the 5 o 6.  You need to assign a different name for the 5 or 6 to be sure to that the better band.

There are more options if hardwired.

But basically that affects local network and the ISP controls throughput to the internet.
