I want to know if my laptop can connect to 5G band on wifirouter. Currently connect to a 2.4G and it is inestable.

The Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter only works on the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.

 

You can replace that model card with this one which is dual band:

 

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter   HP part # L17365-005
